I cannot access my site. Are your servers down ?

Before you submit a support ticket please check the following:

1. Are you able to access other internet websites on the internet?

2. Have your domain nameservers only been changed recently (domain propagation takes up to 48 hours to complete)?

3. If you did not register your domain name with us, check the domain's nameservers, and make sure they are configured correctly.

Your nameservers are provided in your welcome email from ModHost ("DNS Instructions" section).

4. Check your domain's availability from different world locations using these services:

https://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/

https://www.uptrends.com/tools/uptime

If the above services report no problems the issue is likely to be local to your internet connection and/or settings.

5. A firewall block is a common reason why you may not be able to access your website.

Our cPanel servers are equipped with a firewall system designed to monitor login activities, effectively blocking any malicious attempts to breach your account security by employing tactics such as brute-force password guessing.

Should you find yourself in a situation where you've made several unsuccessful login attempts, whether it's accessing FTP, configuring email on your mobile device, or even logging into cPanel itself, our server will enact an automatic block for a duration of one hour. During this period, access to any services on the server will be temporarily restricted. However, it's important to note that your website(s) will remain accessible to the wider Internet and will not experience any downtime.

Note that when you update the password for an email account, any ongoing attempts by devices using the old password can quickly trigger the security threshold, as many users configure their devices to check for new emails frequently.

Typically, waiting out the one-hour block should suffice unless there's an urgent need to regain access sooner. If you encounter persistent issues even after the designated period or require immediate assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team by opening a ticket. We're committed to providing prompt assistance and resolving any concerns you may have.

6. Check "Network Status" in the client area.

If a server becomes unreachable our system administration team reacts immediately to rectify the issue (all servers are monitored from multiple geographic locations). We usually post an announcement within 5-20 minutes of the outage.
